Money is loaded onto the card via either online funds transfer or via a charge station. The card is designed for micro-payments; smaller, daily purchases.
As our card is powered by the latest in RFID chip technology it doesn’t need to be “swiped” or “inserted”. It is simply is held near the reader for a second for the transaction to be completed, thus increasing the speed of each transaction.
The amount of the purchase is now deducted from the card holders account, and the items are paid for. If a reward point scheme has been implemented, the relevant points / discounts have been applied to the card holders balance at the same time.
